During my recent business trip to Pretoria, I had the opportunity to stay at the Elegant Lodge Menlo Park, as chosen by my director. The hotel offers a variety of impressive features that made my stay enjoyable. the hotel boasts a beautiful and well-maintained garden, providing a serene and relaxing atmosphere. the on-site restaurant served delectable dishes that satisfied my taste buds after a long day of work. Finally, the year-round outdoor pool was a refreshing way to unwind and beat the South African heat.

Arrived to find that the room I was looking forward to was not available, instead had to settle for a very meager garden room with a very loud air conditioning unit.

Great location! Close to popular shopping malls and other attractions. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The room felt secure, and our belongings were untouched even after housekeeping cleaned the room. The energy of the receptionist was infectious, adding a positive vibe to our stay.

There were a few negatives during our Easter stay. some of the doors were tricky to open and would occasionally get stuck, which became frustrating.

I chose Elegant Lodge Menlo Park specifically to visit the Moloko Club, and I was pleasantly surprised by the pleasurable and memorable experience with the friendly and qualified staff. The complimentary wireless Internet access was an added bonus, and I really enjoyed having the option of room service or in-house dining.

Misleading star rating and outdated bathrooms.

I chose this hotel for attending a business conference because it provides guests with a bar and a business center. The bar was a great place to unwind after a long day and the business center was well-equipped for my work needs.

One service that I missed for my work was a printer available in the business center. It would have been helpful to print some important documents during my stay.

The location, close to Menlyn Mall and restaurants

Not one thing.

So, let me start with the good stuff. the location was awesome, like seriously. It was close to all the cool places like Menlyn and Menlyn Maine, so it was super convenient to explore the city. Plus, the room felt really safe and secure, which was a huge relief. And the best part was the staff. The receptionist was so friendly and had the best energy. And the rest of the staff were just as welcoming and helpful. They really made us feel at home.

Now, onto the not so great things. Okay, so the room didn't have a bar fridge, which was a bit of a downer.

The location of the hotel is convenient, with a good sitting-out area at the pool. The friendly and efficient staff, along with clean and reasonably comfortable rooms, make for a pleasant stay. Additionally, the on-site restaurant offers decent food.

The hotel lacks in terms of appearance and amenities, with outdated and overused furnishings. The lack of little extras and a sense of welcome also adds to the disappointment.

We got great value for our money at Elegant Lodge Menlo Park. The room was perfect and the location was convenient, close to Menlyn Mall and restaurants. The staff, especially Constance at reception, were professional and provided helpful information. The garden and swimming pool were beautiful, and we felt safe during our stay.

Morning meal could be improved with a choice between cooked and cold options, without having to pay the full price if you only want one or the other.

Shower bath combo doen not work, drinks are a bit pricy

The booking was not on Elegant Lodge system, however they managed to make us a booking.

Doors had just been varnished - not great smell - had to change room uopf=grade but no real problem just should warn one.

How we were welcomed is the the best,the room has every thing we needed.

The atmosphere of the place was excellent. Staff members really made me feel at home and I loved the way the place is secured as well as the kind of breakfast that is offered.

The catering staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room offered was foul with cigarette smell although I had specified a non-smoking room. An alternative room was offered with an initial condition to surcharge R70.00 per night. Although the surcharge was waived after complaints to the manager I feel the condition should never have arisen since the change resulted from unsuitable room conditions not personal choice.
